Level 1 class learning how to capture motion and shooting in various lighting scenarios.  Learn your camera and shoot in low light!

Emphasis on capturing creative images.  

Learn to freeze motion and drag the shutter

Students learn to freeze motion and drag the shutter to create Artistic images.

Seeing Light & Shadow

Part of the Level 1 final class is shooting an Art installation of light and shadow.  The class sketches the negative space and then shoots.

Learning Art elements allow students to see their images better before clicking the shutter.  This practice is specific for learning how to see negative space.

Learn how to pose individuals and groups for better compositions.

Take home course notebooks, handouts and field notebooks are given to each student as part of the course.  Each student is given a field notebook so they can record their intent for each image and the camera settings.

A slideshow is created of the student's images throughout the course and the students defend their images by using their notes from their field notebook.  The intent of each image, camera settings and composition elements.

this 2nd level class had a GREAT time hiking and taking photos during the Wichita Mountains field trip which included the Parallel forest, An Elk, and photographing storm clouds on the top of Mount Scott.
